Senior Fellow– Natural Heritage

We invite candidates with expertise in India’s natural heritage, biodiversity conservation, and sustainability policies. The ideal candidate must possess strong research and writing skills, along with a deep understanding of India’s natural ecosystems, conservation frameworks, and environmental governance.

The role focuses on documenting and promoting India’s rich natural heritage, including forests, rivers, mountains, wildlife, and traditional ecological knowledge. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to a team working to preserve, protect, and promote India’s ecological wealth and environmental sustainability.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Ph.D./Postgraduate degree/PG Diploma in environmental studies, ecology, biodiversity conservation, sustainability, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in research, documentation, policy analysis, and writing related to natural heritage, biodiversity conservation, or environmental sustainability.
  • Proven track record of research and writing- books, monographs, magazines, newspaper articles, reports and publications on natural heritage and environmental policies.
  • Experience working with reputed national/international organizations on natural heritage and conservation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead research, policy analysis, and documentation on India’s natural heritage, ecosystems, and conservation efforts.
  • Develop strategies and policy recommendations for safeguarding biodiversity, forests, and water bodies.
  • Collaborate with teams for data collection, field research, and environmental policy development.
  • Engage with government agencies, NGOs, academicians, and research institutions to contribute to natural heritage conservation policies.
  • Develop partnerships and funding opportunities with academic institutions, research organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Disseminate research findings through publications, reports, presentations, and conferences.
  • Mentor junior researchers and analysts in natural heritage research and documentation.
