Proceedings of National Conference on Eco-restoration of the Aravalli Landscape Strengthening the Aravalli Green Wall
In Partnership with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)
The idea for the National Conference on ‘Eco-restoration of the Aravalli Landscape’ was inspired by the critical ecological and civilisational significance of this mountain range and the countless communities, institutions, and dedicated
officials who strive every day to ensure its protection and revival. The Aravallis are central to India’s future environmental priorities.
We specially thank Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon’ble Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, for his
valuable insights on the role of Aravallis in sustaining life, culture, and heritage across the region, which greatly helped
shape the key agendas of the conference.
We thank Mr Rao Narbir Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Environment, Forests and Wildlife, Government of Haryana, for his
leadership in transitioning to integrated, landscape-scale restoration and large-scale conservation projects across the
state.
