Micro-watershed for Sustainable Socio-economic Development in the Himalayas

Watershed management has been a critical component of India’s development strategy for

balance. The need for integrated watershed management has grown increasingly urgent in
light of climate-induced challenges such as erratic rainfall, prolonged dry spells, and an
escalating frequency of extreme weather events.
