National Conference on Universal Access to Healthcare: Digital Solutions
India has committed to providing Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by the year 2030. Strengthening the public health infrastructure and leveraging digital technology are critical for achieving the UHC that is based on three verticals—accessibility, affordability and quality.
With close to 65% of the country’s population living in rural areas, India has a huge potential to adopt and adapt digitisation to achieve the UHC target. Focussing on the strengths of digitisation in healthcare, the National Conference on `Universal Access to Healthcare: Digital Solutions’ to be held in New Delhi on 6 th September, 2024 aims to bring together practitioners, government officials, leading experts, innovators and thought leaders in the field of health and health technology to explore the intersection of these crucial sectors. They will deliberate and envision pathways to leverage technology for universal healthcare for all citizens.
Organised by Sankala Foundation with the support of NITI Aayog, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the National Human Rights Commission, India, the conference will have three technical sessions:

3) Digitally-enabled Universal Health Coverage
The conference concludes with the experts discussing the roadmap for using digital technology for Universal Health Coverage.
A collaborative model between the Karnataka Government and Tata Medical and Diagnostics to develop a digital tool to enhance patient experience and care in the Kolar district in Karnataka will be showcased at the symposium.
Andhra Pradesh's State Telemedicine Programme has revolutionised primary healthcare by providing accessible and affordable treatment, particularly to people in remote and underserved areas. This innovative initiative will also be presented at the conference.
